Often the goals of government have to do with maintaining the familiar patterns of human society. This becomes increasingly difficult as humanity becomes more conscious that familiar patterns of commerce, power and ownership are in fact destroying biodiversity and human social health. It is pointless to come up with “innovative strategies” that maintain civilization as we know it. Better to imagine new goals for humanity and all forms of Life on Earth in general. Then collaboratively innovate -not just between people of all incomes, intellects and cultures, but inclusive of all sentient life – as our ancestors teach. Then, perhaps, we can share power to recreate together what it is to be alive and thrive together.
